Just a quick note. We talked about a major concern of ours that there is not enough monitoring being done on Mom. I worry because she can not even push the nurse call button. Cindy talked to the nurse today several times and is waiting to here back after the doctor visits. We would like her to moved to a floor where they can hook her up to monitor vitals. That way if she is in distress it would show and a nurse can come. Also we were concerned that the dose of morphine she gets every 4 hours would be better given as a drip or in smaller doses more frequently. She also is not receiving any glucose and she is not eating very much. Definitely not enough to keep her sustained. Yesterday she fell asleep a couple times while eating a few bites. At least if her vitals were being monitored constantly, there would not be the worry that no one would know if she was choking on food or whatever. I will go up again tomorrow and I think Jim is going to be talking to her doctor today also. We will post as soon as we know anything else.
