I spoke with mom earlier and she was trying to get comfortable for the evening, tough for her to do when she is in such pain. They had given her pain meds about 20 minutes before my call and she was waiting for them to kick in. She doesn't want to go home in a wheelchair and is very concerned about that, since they have made that comment - she seems to be fixated on that possibility. We told her not to worry about what might happen in a few weeks but to concentrate her energy on what she can do today, she continues to improve but gets very discouraged by the pain. Hang in there mom...
