Home again, home again, jiggity jig

I just spoke with mom who sounded better than she has in a long time.  She is happy to be home and doing very well.  The wheelchair she has is a narrow one, so she can get through all of the doorways including the bathroom.  They delivered a hospital bed and various other medical equipment to help her recover and she is already thinking of ways to get better.  I was re-reading the verse I posted on the top of this blog before typing this and thought about how true it is.  Mom is in for a long road to recovery, but being home where she is comfortable, having her loved ones around her all of the time and being able to eat the food she likes when she is hungry is such a comfort.  Having kids around her will have such a healing effect also, she adores all of the kids and they take her mind off of her troubles.  So, between Cindy and Rachel, she can be surrounded by kids as much as she wants!  Jim sounded good, I know he is very happy to have her home again.  So, thank you for your prayers - we will all be working together to make sure mom has the care and comfort she needs.

More later....

  1. I am glad to hear that she is happy to be home. I would imagine it feels good to have the familiar comforts around. I just pray it doesn't turn to frustration as she realizes that she is unable to do so much still. I would hate to she her travel across the states to stay with others, but of course I feel everyone should share in the responsibility.
